Young Programmer Initiative
e-learning free course (online) offered as an initiative from the foundation targeting children from 7 to 14 years old ,who were selected from multiple Libyan cities . It was launched on 13 April 2020 . It comprised of two tracks , the first was dedicated to the child’s companion and the second was for the child .
The initiative aims at enabling the child to learn coding which is the language of the modern era as it has become the modern world talk and was added to school curriculums to create a promising generation that self-build and self-produce and handles the 21st century and its technology with happiness and confidence , In addition to developing the child’s mathematical and logical thinking . Hence the foundation has launched this initiative as a contribution to teaching programming and solidifying critical thinking culture and developing problem solving skills and research ……etc. .
Therefore , Fab Lab Libya foundation has provided a space to teach children programing language under the supervision of specialized tutors to help them cross the future and think of their own projects and how to build them .
